Our Mission
Our mission is to develop well-rounded basketball players and people by promoting self-confidence, leadership and teamwork. Players who participate in Gryphon Basketball AAU teams, basketball boot camps, small group shooting lessons, town team clinics, and summer basketball camps will be coached to perform at their highest level.
The Gryphon Way
At Gryphon Basketball, we play smart and we play hard, always trying our best in every drill and in every game. We play fundamental basketball, learning the skills in practice so we can go out in the game and play with confidence. We play up-tempo defense, always looking for the steal that turns defense into offense. When our teammates make a mistake we are there to pick them up. When we make a mistake, we learn and get better the next time. Our coaches lead us with enthusiasm and with integrity because they care about us as players and as people. We are proud to wear blue. We are proud to be Gryphons!
Who We Serve
Gryphon Basketball offers programs for boys and girls Kindergarten – High School. Serving players from Bergen County and Passaic County. Gryphon Basketball has programs for the beginning player all the way up to the competitive experienced player.
Why the Gryphon?
The mythological gryphon combines an eagle’s head and wings with a lion’s body, representing domination over the earth and the sky. For our basketball program, the gryphon symbolizes our goals to be strong like the lion on defense and agile with great vision like the eagle on offense.
